Kredmill/Business verification for lenders

A file thatrefuses toclose early.

The business gives us documents. We check them against source records. The bank gets one file in a fixed format.

No score. No rating. No recommendation. Approve or decline stays with the bank.

6.1 cycles a year·12 months of filings covers ~2 of them

Proven by twelve months of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and bank statements — 17 of the 23 checklist lines are required before the file can seal.

An estimate from your own three figures — not an offer, a rate, or an eligibility decision.

Financial reports and charts spread across a wooden table, seen from above, with colleagues working over them.

The business, before it is a file

PLATE 01

01 — The two rules

Two rules.Everything elseis arrangement.

If a change would weaken either one, it is the wrong change. They are not guidelines — they are two functions that refuse.

  1. Nothing is sent until every required item is verified.

sealFile() refuses while any required line is not VERIFIED, and sendToBank() refuses on an unsealed file. A half-checked file reaching a bank costs more than a slow one.

    sealFile()

  2. Every verified figure carries where it came from and when.

sourceKind is mandatory on both Finding and a verified ChecklistItem. A GSTR-3B read from the portal and a PDF the owner emailed are not the same evidence.

    sourceKind

02 — The trail

The file’s headline status is derived from its lines, never set directly.

One file.Five states.No shortcuts.

  1. 01

    COLLECTING

    Borrower

The list, in one fixed order

A file opens and lays out its checklist in one transaction. The constitution decides two of the lines — a proprietorship is never asked for partner PANs or an incorporation deed, which is the single most common way a file stalls.

    → initialItems(constitution)

  2. 02

    IN_REVIEW

    Our team

    Each line, against its source

A person checks every line and records which source it was checked against. Not a tick — a source. The schema has sourceRef and pulledAt waiting, so a GST portal or Account Aggregator pull writes the same column later without a migration.

    → POST /files/items/:itemId/verify

  3. 03

    ITEMS_REJECTED

    Back to the borrower

    The reason, written out

A rejection carries a reason of at least four characters, and the borrower reads it in their own words rather than hearing it third-hand on a phone call. The line returns to them; the file does not move.

→ reason required, min 4 chars

What arrives before anything is verifiedPLATE 06
  1. 04

    READY

    Sealed

The file refuses to close early

Seal is the gate the whole product is built around. It refuses while any required line is unverified — whoever is asking, however urgent the call. Once set, the checklist is frozen and sending unlocks.

→ sealFile() — refuses, not warns

  2. 05

    SUBMITTED

    The bank

    One file, one fixed format

The report is built and frozen into the submission at the moment of sending, so what the bank saw stays what the bank saw however the file changes afterwards. Every open is logged. The link expires in fifteen days.

    → frozen snapshot

05 — The report

It ends ina number.Not ours.

Same template, same order, every file. No score, no rating, no recommendation. Approve or decline stays with the bank.

FlagLevel has exactly two values, STRONG and WATCH. There is deliberately no BAD. A flag states a fact and the officer draws the conclusion. The moment this API emits a number that looks like a rating, it has taken on a regulated role it is not licensed for and stopped being the thing banks trust.

Sources: GST portal, Account Aggregator, commercial credit bureau, applicant submissions. No credit score, rating or lending recommendation — the decision rests entirely with the bank.

Frozen into the submission at the moment of sending. Every open is logged. The link expires in 15 days.

06 — What the bank never receives

Two documentsnever leavethis building.

  • Aadhaar — proprietor and co-applicants
  • Bank statements — 12 months, all accounts
  • WITHHELD_FROM_BANK · src/lib/report.ts

The report says the line was verified and against which source; the underlying document stays with us. That protects the borrower, and it protects us.

07 — Three logins, and deliberately no more

What stops a half-checked file reaching a bank is the checklist, not a seniority rank.

The three roles, what each can see, and what each may do
ROLESEES
BORROWERTheir own business onlyUpload, read reject reasons, give consent
VERIFICATIONOnly the files assigned to themVerify, reject, record findings, seal, send
MANAGEREvery fileRoute files to verifiers, approve access requests
SUPERADMINEvery fileEverything a manager may, plus provision users and banks
BANKEverything sent to their bankRead the report, record a decision

Scoping lives in one file, so “which files can this actor see” is stated once and no route builds its own visibility clause.

08 — Start a file

Send the banksomething itcan act on.

Four steps, and only seven answers are actually required. Everything else sharpens the first call — you can leave it blank and tell us on the phone.

An enquiry is a lead, not a login. Nothing here creates an account, and nothing reaches a bank until a file is sealed and you have given consent.

  1. Who you are

    Promoter, contact, city and state.

  2. What the business is

Constitution, activity, turnover, GST and Udyam.

  3. What you need

Facility, amount, security and existing obligations.

  4. Your authorization

Required. The enquiry is refused without it.

  5. Then 23 checklist lines, 17 of them required — and a file that refuses to close early.
